The choose-your-own ajillo stands out on Ange’s menu. Toppings include chicken gizzards, prawns, squid, scallops, mushrooms, shiitake, king oyster mushrooms and broccoli. Choose from 3 toppings for 900 yen, 4 toppings for 1,200 yen, or 5 toppings for 1,500 yen. You can decide how many to order according to your group and what you feel like eating, making the combinations part of the fun. It is an easy choice for nibbling over drinks or sharing several flavours around the table.
Other snacks include trippa for 900 yen, a rolled omelette with a thickened sauce and grated daikon topped with whitebait for 800 yen, and mozzarella with tomato and basil sauce for 800 yen. These distinctive dishes can also take centre stage alongside your drinks.
Drinks include draft Kirin Ichiban Shibori (330 ml, 900 yen), Heartland (500 ml, 1,200 yen), and the wine of the day, available red or white (120 ml, 1,200 yen), as well as a range of whiskies. For a light drink, pistachios, cashews and other nuts are also available.
